89-91 se models were equipped with a blacked out center tail piece. 89-94 gxe models were equipped with red, as well as 92-94 se models. the style was changed in 92, when the clear horizontal stripe at the bottom was cutoff at the vertical bodyline at the corner.

yeah i have to agree the black one's do look alot better. kinda has a more sports look. the red look like your typical lights. no flare. Nissan should have kept them for all years.

I have a 91 GXE and it is also red in the back, but I too think that the black ones look way better.

With that said, just wondering if those back pieces would be interchangeable with ones of a different year? And if it is possible to switch them out, how would ever go about finding a black one?

you should prolly get the tails too cuz they kind of have like a smoked tint to them as well. can pick em up at the junkyard or check on ebay.

I'm not a photographer sorry but I do have two of these for sale. I kind of like the red tinted ones. I bought these with a set of SE tails. The guy only wanted a set of tails so now I have two of these laying around if anyone wants. aw89maxSE is buying the other set of tails but hes got to get the funds so if anyone wants a set of SE tails let me know (aw89maxSE told me to sell it to someone if they had the money befor him) These actually are interchangable with the red ones. Lift up the trunk lid and remove the fabric there are 4 nut kind of things that you have to undo and then another set of 4 screws. I will post more pics up if anyone wants

Look at the tail lights in the signature of kcidmil or mordezmoncou in this thread and that's what they look like.

Hey generation3....for some reason it won't let me send or recieve PMs, dunno what the problem is with that...

But anyway, yeah I'd definitley be interested in 1 of those black trunk things. What kind of price range did you have in mind?

It's because you're a newbie you need 15 posts before you can send or recieve PMs. How about $40 shipped? If you want the tail lights maybe we can work something out and save on the shipping.

Yep, 40 bucks would sound fair enough to me. Still not sure if I want/need the other tail lights though.

But since I can't use PMs yet, would it be ok if I use the e-mail address option in your public profile, and talk via that?

1 - this is not the FS section
2 - you can edit your post if you need to add something...NOT make another post
3 - you need 15 posts to use the full feature of the forum (PM, make new threads)...reduces spammers.
4 - noobs if i catch you spamming the forum just to get your 15 posts...permaban
