Maxima bit the dust at the right time

Well it took 16 years but the maxima has bit the dust, I started having weird vibrations from the tranny and on occasion the car would get stuck in 1st and 2nd gear. So knowing that, if i wanted change it, it would prolly cost just as much as to just buy the car, so i decided to trade the car in on a 2000 Chevy Blazer Zr2(Wide stance). If anyone has read any of my past threads they would know about all the snow problems i have had, plus all the other problems i have had with my maxima for the reasoning i bought the 4wd.

Well anyways I drove to harrisburg to pick up the blazer and as i pulled into the dealership i Lost 1st,2nd, and 3rd gear, this was while i was planning on selling the car by myself hopping to get $1000. When i got out of the car the dealer came over and knew what was going on with my maxima, and made me a deal i couldn't refuse. He dropped $1500 off the truck and gave me $600 for the maxima in the condition it was in. So I took the deal and kiss my maxima Goodbye.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that helped me out with some of my problems that i had in the past with the maxima, and to encourage anyone thats thinking about buying a 3rd gen to do it, you won't be sorry and you'll have a ball

Ps. I'll be leaving my pictures up off the maxima and always open to questions to help anyone

I'v had similar things happen to me before. Funny how it works out that way sometimes.

A little over a year ago I was not able to drive my car (I forget what the problem was) and was waiting for parts to come in. Fortunetly, my parents had recently bought a new car and were letting me use their old 1991 Honda Accord with 300,000+ miles on it to get around before they sold it. On Thursday, after work I found the parts waiting for me when I arived home. However, I had a meeting to attend and wasn't able to get to the car till Friday. Friday morning I started off to work and my brakes just went. As I had a fairly level drive on a back road with little trafic, I drove carefully (always a good time to have a manual trans - I shut the car off in first gear to stop at the one intersection) to my parents house to leave the car there. It just so happened my father had taken work off that day to work on the house and let me take his truck to work. When I got home that night, I put the parts on my car and thanked my parents for use of their vehicles. I think my father sold that old Accord for maybe $100 to someone for parts. It had a looooong list of problems.
