Mustang wheels on a Max?

Can some plz provide me with the link for the above mentioned. I have a 1994 Mustang GT with the 17" wheels and was thinking of upgrading and handing those wheels down to the Max.

Thanks

They will fit, but IMO the only mustang wheels that look good on a max are the Cobra style wheels.

Hmmm....

Someone else with a white max had the mustang wheels that are kind of dished, I think they were the GT wheels. I thought they looked good.

I ran the Ford 98 Cobra wheels years back. I also ran the 95-96 GT 17x8 wheels also.

I believe 94 might have been the 1st year of the 17x8. Tri-barz yo! If you exclude the 93 Cobra turbine wheels. Which I've always liked

Looks nice and nice photography also. As I understand it the rears won't fit as they probably rub on the strut. Most nissan dealers carry longer studs. And spacers aren't hard to get either.

But my opinion is if you have to go though all this trouble to run these, it's not really worth it.

You could also consider buying thinner tires also. But what are the wheel offsets and sizes and what are the tire sizes??

I'm new to the group. I just purchased a '91 5 speed with a bad motor. I am currently having the engine changed. Just wondering if 1994 Toyota Supra wheels are going to fit on the Maxima. They are Front:17x8 50 mm offset and Rear: 17x9.5 50mm offset. I know the bolt pattern is the same, but I am concerned about the offset and width.

I am pretty sure they will rub the struts like crazy......

That's what I was afraid of. It was a nice thought though... I have a friend that put new wheels on his Supra TT, so I was just dreaming I guess.

You have a need to worry. You will also need a pretty good spacer and some longer studs.

I probably just better focus on getting the motor change done right now. There will be plenty of time later to wheel experiment. I appreciate the quick help!

If the wheels are hubcentric, he won't even get that far. Toyota hub bores are smaller than Nissan hub bores. But yes, the rears are WAYYY to wide and the offsets are way too large.

Those looked great Jeff... I'm actually looking for some of those wheels for auto-xing. I know the 2000 Mustang GT rims are about 17 lbs, are these about the same?

I have to guess that most of not all 17x8 Mustang wheels probably weigh in at approx 18-19lbs each. That's only what I've read. If the 2000 GT are some exception, then it could be. Although they are 5-spoke, they won't clear any bbks like the 98 cobras do. Spoke design is everything here.

If someone offered it to you for 200 you would jump on it. The only thing I hate it that I have to set up a fan switch. Besides once I find a all of the turbo parts I'm gonna be runnin faster than a max (with upgraded fuel injectors and fuel pump) on a T3 turbo. Give it a few months loser.

Well, I've just been informed that I was mistaken and the 2000 GT rims are more like 20 lbs.... you bring up a good point with regards to the brakes though. I have stock brakes now, but that's something else to upgrade in the future. I may just have to look for some 98 Cobras.

Hehe sorry to be harsh. If you got an xxx year cavalier for $200 bux. I'd fix it and sell it. Then use the $ to buy something worth modding IMHO. But good luck. Ice skating uphill seems to be this season's favorite sport.
