I dont buy those [seals], but would use liquid sealant. Google the price from the net, for a set. (Std nissan 4cyl all incl set goes around 50$)

The funny part is gettin the oil there... and be sure it got a chance to block a possible leak. I've never tested, but would guess propane would be better, cleaner. Buy handheld torch for 15$, and gass it...

I am half way sure I prob. have a cracked up gasket like vanserfreaks above I think that I am going to remove both upper and lower intake manafolds and clean them spotless so I have a smooooth flow of air into my cylinders !! (Will this help anything, having the manifolds spotless on the inside)
(Just say yes please it is the only thing driving me through this project LOL)

I will just seal them with some of my RTV silicone rated for 500 degree heat (IS THAT HIGH ENOUGH HEAT RATING? THEY MAKE ONE FOR 650 temp)

Do you suggest not using the old gasket at all when sealing back up with liquid gasket?

Is there any great performance boost thing I can do (and get to easily) now that the intake manafolds will be off ?

Yes please. (IF intake is half full of soot.)

Depends on your degrees Celsius/F; get the 650F. Practically costless compared to redo... Has to be made for intake oily enviro.

I'd add it on cleaned parts, read what the mfg says.

Badly seated seals TB etc cause eddies in airflow, = reduces flow

Figure out whattodo to streamline intake on whole lenght.

Injectors are near, although normally air stream will hopefully take all to cyl. I suppose the mfg has recommendation on the pckg if/whether their product works: make sure. There are diff products available.
