Battery trouble?

So yesterday morning I go out to turn on my car and it was a little hard to turn on. Almost as if the battery had lost some of its charge (it also happened after school and this morning). When it did turn on, the non-stock alarm beeped almost like when the battery is disconnected and reconnected. Also, all the presets on my radio had reset as if the battery had been unplugged. Does this seem like I just need a new battery or should I look elsewhere for the problem?... also, last week I left my lights on which lead to me getting stranded for a while but after getting a jump, I was able to get home but the next morning i had to get a jump again because the battery lost all of its charge again without the lights being left on. I had the battery tested at Autozone and they said it was fine... so were they wrong?

thanks in advance

Test:
1. charge voltage from batt; engine runnin, different rpms
2. batt voltage; engine off (2a. after drive, 2b. after being parked overnight)
3a. total current draw from batt; engine off (everythin OFF, as if u had left the car)
3b. alternator leak current; engine off

Need 8$ multimeter for these measurements. Tell tst results.

Want to keep alternator alive? Never donate jumpstart to anybody. If cannot avoid, disconnect donor (your) batt, and use only battery. Gnd jump cable from chassis to chassis.

It also might be a good idea to check the battery cable and connectors for corrosion. I had to replace my stock connectors on the cable because they rusted so bad that they cracked slightly and wasn't making a good connection. The stock connectors are really thin compared to what's out there.

did you let your car run for a while after the jump-start? (10 minutes running is nowhere enough to charge it)

you may want to check how much amp is getting out of your battery when nothing is "on" in the car...I know a guy whose car alarm sucked enough juice out of is battery that it would die in 3-4 days if he did'nt use is car...

another thing that may drain a battery....a sound system capacitor that is defective
