help with y-pipe studs
cut the studs flat against the flange. then just drill them out (make holes where the studs were). then just use a longer bolt and a nut. that will clamp the y-pipe to the exhaust manifold just fine. it's a tad shadetree, but it works just as well.

I did the same. I thought my dad did all 3 in the back but he only did 2, and its leaking like a mother, so I have to do the third. And 1 in the front, but the front isnt leaking so I can do that later... but yea a nut and bot works great. But using PB blaster in the first place is the best.
