i got $3500 from insurance on my 89. Its a helluva lot more then the 1200 they originally offerred me that I declined...bastards.

anyways im going to look at a 92 talon Tsi AWD 5spd 82,000 miles. new clutch. sunroof, tints, keyless. sounds like a nice talon. he is asking a little much though. 5700. but i wont offer more then 4500 if i like it.

Ive heard these cars are money pits? true?

does anyone know of a eclipse, talon board like this?

my friend has an eagle talon (eclipse lookalike) awd stick turbo ,the best talon made, like comparing vg to ve...its nice but the reason its a money pit is because the engine bay is so compact...so it would be labor expensive on repairs

nooo...

For that $$$ you can get a 91+ Max with 100k or less. I just think the Talon is not worth that much, just because it has mad modding potential to make it fast that is, it is not half the car a Maxima is. At least to me. The Max is way roomier, looks a million times better... I'd sell my 93 SE auto for 5,500$. My opinion = don't get it.

I had a 98 Eclipse GSX. It was the AWD turbo edition that had 210hp stock. I liked the car but would rather keep my Max.

Goto www.dsm.org and throughly read the FAQ. The only problem with those cars is that you will break things once you go with hardcore mods. Not to mention if the turbo goes bad its not really cheap to fix. Actually bone stock they are slower than a VE 5spd. However with $500 in mods you would be running mid-low 14's. After that it gets expensive .

Yeah, block..... it might get kinda intense, monetarily, if you want to mod a Talon. Now, granted, they MAY look nice and all, and you could even get one to get in the 14 sec. range. But then, who would we go to if we wanted some Max advice, and you're riding around in a Eagle Talon (spelled R-I-C-E)?
