Do i have a bad mafs?
I've had the most frustrating problem with my 89 se lately where it won't rev past 2500 rpm about half the time when I'm driving it. I have a buddy that has a 91 se 5 speed as well and his car runs fine. I put his mafs on my car and it still did it. But granted I put it on and drove it around the block and straight back so it didn't give the car much time to realize it may have been fixed. It just seems to much of a kowinky dink that my car won't rev past 2400 rpm. Suggestions Ideas Comments???

Here'e a quote straight from the FSM...
If the airflow meter output voltage is below the specified value, the ECU senses an air flow meter malfunction. In the case of a malfunction, the throttle sensor substitutes for the air flow meter. Although the air flow meter is malfunctioning, it is possible to start the engine and drive the vehicle. But the engine speed will not rise more than 2,400 rpm in order to inform the driver of fail-safe system operation while driving.
The other posts pretty much cover it. Check your connector and try cleaning it first and that may fix it.

Ok i'll pull codes and i'm going to the local u pull it tomorrow cause It's only 10 bucks for a used mafs there. My other question is right around this same time my fans stoped working. The motor revs up when the motor starts to reach the temp where the fans should turn on like it's trying to compensate for them being on but they don't come on. I've checked all the fuses and made sure there was no loose relay's??
