Need help on vacuum lines...
VE30DE DOHC Motor....
Hey, I took a picture of this part:
Do you see the 2 hoses that runs to the left connected to something...Don't worry about the one on top that is open..I took off the hose so that you guys can see clearly..AND the hose at the bottom..Don't worry about that..I'm just talking about the 2 hoses in the middle Parallel to each other...Now my concern is the bottom hose..When I take off the hose when the car is on, nothing happens..Their is no vacuum in that line..is that a bleeder?Because I connected a vacuum line to that..Nothing strange happens when the car is ran..
Here is another pic farther away...
Anyone car to give me a schematic on on these vacuum line are ran in stock form...
NOTE: Since I have the variable Intake system..You know the actuator on the passenger side, Isn't that a vacuum source? Because When I take off the hose, I get no Vacuum..
Thanks

Why don't you photoshop arrows to point to what you are referring to? All I can say is that those two solenoids are the EGR and VIS solenoids, and so the output vacuum lines will only have access to the vacuum source when the ECU triggers the solenoids to open.

That's a pic of a 4th gen vacuum diagram.....we don't have an absolute pressure sensor or an EVAP canister purge control valve (at least not in that location).

Brown = EGR
Green = Power Valve
The firewall side ports (the ones with the arrows pointing towards them) are the inlets for the solenoids. The EGR gets it's 'vacuum' from before the throttle plate in the throttle body. The Power Valve gets it's vacuum from the vacuum canister, which gets it's vacuum from the plenum. There is a one way check valve going between the plenum and the vacuum canister, it will not allow air to enter the vacuum canister.
The best place to tap for vacuum ports would be right before the vacuum canister IMHO.
