93 wont start

93 Maxima the battery went dead and I couldn't start it. I called AAA and they couldn't start it until the guy told me a trick

BUT I FORGOT IT

The battery is fully charged, lights do NOT go dim when I turn the key, but the starter does not run

I think the AAA guy had me do trick like put in neutral verses park or turn the wheel or something. I tried everything I can think of

any ideas?

with it in a park push the shifter forward past P, it should move like a 1/2"inch. mine does that some times...i'm assuming you have an auto.

its probably the shifter bushing under the car (links shifter arm to the rod that enters the tranny)

tends tu wear and the hole gets bigger, which does the following:

when you "park" the tranny is in park, but the electrical Parkl sensor did'nt detect it

mine dit it also and i adjusted it a little with the bolt under the car
