I hear a clunkijng noise coming from my passenger side when I go over a bump or on rough roads...I believe it to be my passenger side wheel bearing...

^^^^^^^^ what he said, don't forget rows of parked cars on one lane, one way smalle street as well, those works the best, it amplified almost every noise on the car. Typically you will hear grinding, and are noticeable on all speed, most noticeable on higher speed, and on high speed turns.

when u hear like a grinding humin' noise those r ur wheel bearings. another way to tell they r messed up is by jackin' up the car and check for play in the wheel in an up and down but has to be done like if ur pushing in from the top and pullin' out from the bottom. if it has play then its ur wheel bearings. sometimes it wont have play but u hear the noise. change them immediately. i changed mine a week ago on both sides. both of them literally fell out once i took the spindle and hub apart. i didn't have a press to press them in so i just used a big hammer and a cylinder type of heavy *** steel and thats it. $30 for both wheel bearings and $20 for inner and outer seals. i also installed new tie rod ends and then i aligned the car myself while i get new rack and pinion bushings. from the looks of it i saved over $400 if i would have let a shop do it for me. but i would change them asap. i was told that the longer u drive on bad bearings u'll run the risk of possibly havin' ur whole wheel pop out or just ruin the wheel hub.

OK, so I guess I'm an idiot...You are saying that the wheel bearing is not part of the axle assembly? I think I'll check your website right now for prices...FYI when I do my tranny swap early next year I will be replacing passenger side wheel bearing, rear main seal (preventative maintenance), cam seal, crank seal (not sure which one leaks), oil pan gasket, and exhaust manifold studs. Just thought I'd give you a heads up!

I really need to redo that site.
People are having way to hard of a time finding what they need since it's grown so large

seals are used when the bearing is oozing out it's grease past the seals, rarely are they needed on the max because IIRC the bearing has it's own seals built in.

if ur goin' all out on changin' ur seals on ur motor while doin' the tranny swap i suggest change both front and rear main seals along with ur cam seals. i would install all seals at the same time to just get it out of the way. believe me u'll thank urself later on for doin' so. just yesterday i did a timin' belt job for some guy that i don't know but found me outside of my house workin' on both my 3rd gens in which i was washin' my white '89 and doin' a front end alignment on my '93. he asked if i knew someone that can do that type of job for his '94 and of course i didn't say no. i told him that i can do it for him and not charge him alot. he was ok with it and i ended up doin' the timin' belt, water pump, thermostat, front main seal, cam seals, and tensioner. had that puppy runnin' in 4 hours. the rear main seal was a b!tch to take out. also his front end of the motor was so damn oily. of course i cleaned all that down for him. he was lucky that he didn't blow his heads and bend valves cuz before i went in to take it all apart his timin' belt was so damn loose that i could literally just fly off the cams. once i went to the crank area i showed him that he didn't have a tensioner anymore. the inner seal and bearin's of the tensioner just got all messed up and flew out. lucky me i didn't have to deal with takin' his whole motor apart and lucky for him with his pockets too. in the end i charge him $350 for the whole job. another day and his 3rd gen lives on.
