My color code on the tag under the hood says DJ2, which is Black Emerald. Is that supposed to look like a dark green type color, because it is not anywhere near a black, maybe emerald is the key word.

 

That's right. Mine is the same.

 

yes it is supposed to be dark green...thats why its not called just black but black "emerald" (emerald is dark green). The black before it refers to the fact that it is just a really dark green...at certain angles it can appear as black.

 

It's so dark, that a black bumper cover almost blends in.
