As long as your motor is not burned up you should just be able to replace the mast (at least I was just able to do this to mine when it broke & got bent). I ended up paying $120 just for the mast itself and labor.

The Mast

If the motor is burnt - that is tricky to install and isn't cheap. However, replacing just the mast should cost nowehere near $120, unless you have it done for you as Sarah here did.
It's just too simple to do yourself to justify spending the labor cost.
I just bought one a year ago (when mine broke) for $50. Installation is easy - about 15 to 30 mins. It is entirely possible that the teeth on your current mast aren't set in the cog properly.
It may be found even cheaper now then what I paid. Look on eBay or http://www.usedmaximaparts.com and see if you can find one.

Good Luck!

$120 is what happens when you have a good expensive mechanic & dont feel like trying to do it yourself

Follow these simple instructions.

1.) Go to http://gen3.4mg.com/
2.) Click on "Library"
3.) Click on Power Antenna Replacement/Repair

There are detailed instructions with pictures, a step-by-step guide, a "tools needed" list, and the part # for the replacement antenna mast.

The instructions tell you how to do everything. If you have any questions, post them here and I will try to help you out as much as possible.
