I guess I should have told you guys this, but I'm a student at the local community college. We have a full auto tech shop with just about everything you could need. I'm actually going to rebuild the engine and tranny before I do the swap, it might seem like a bit more work, but I want this car to last me awhile. my 240sx is going to be a weekend/project car after I get everything done on the maxima. I just need to rebuild the stuff, finish installing and getter on the road. hopefully by the summer my maxima will be completely rebuilt (at least mechanics). anyways, I got the parts I wanted for 650, and got a refund on some stuff that the guy tried to jip me on. the maxima I got it out of was in great shape mechanically, he even started it, idled and shifted all the gears, seems like everything worked fine. rebuild and swap starting jan 20th.

$750 down to $650 is still too high just for all the parts u needed. i only paid about $240 for all my parts including new clutch plate.

I paid about 300 I think, including a new axle and having the flywheel resurfanced. I used the junkyard clutch plate with no problems.

where you live makes a big difference. there are tons of junk yards around, but none of them will sell a transmission around here for less than 450. I got a steal on the tranny for what car I got it from, and the other parts showed no signs of wear.
