injectors installation questions
Will do this tonight. Any one knows how much torque required for the injector hold down screws? I mean the cap that hold down the injector into the fuel rail? I can't get this info anywhere.
Also, i need to remove the fuel rail, any gasket behind it?
The fuel rail is hold down to the manifold only by several bolts with about 2 ft/lb torque?
Thanks much in advance.

I just swapped my injectors a few days ago, and I luckily had my full set of injectors still in the rail. I couldnt get those phillips screws out to save my life. I was thinking you'd have to use a big pair of vise grips or something. I'd replace those screws with a allen or hex head bolt if you have the opportunity. It would make removing them alot easier if you diy next time. I wish I had the time but I didn't.

Thanks for the reply. I will use a locking plier to remove the screws.
if i understand you right, you swapped the whole injector rail with all the injectors in it. Did you see any gasket, O-rings between the fuel rail the the manifold?
Thanks.

yea there are large orings, they are about 1/16 of an inch or 1/8th.I just reinstalled them after putting a little oil on them. Seems to be working.
Of now I find out theres a leak when I fill up my tank and I have a coolant leak. Yay more stuff to fix ><

Power balance check would be better way to check.
Injectors on these car are known to cause trouble.
Good luck.

One more thing, i found the pulling out the whole fuel rail first then it would be breeze to tapping out the bad injectors with a rubber mallet gently, one second a pop. Also using a locking plier to remove the screws was just so easy.
