need help installing new brake lines

I'm in the process of installing SS brake lines and I was looking at my old lines and can't figure out how to get the retaining clip from the frame mount off. I can't figure out how to take it off the strut either. Does anyone have a suggestion for how to put the new lines into the clip?

I have removed this piece from the frame but can't get the line off.

I have no idea how to remove this from the strut. Or get the line off so I can put the new one there.

there's a retainer that has to be taken out (more like a spring clip actually - so becareful 'cause it's under tension - not a lot though)

it's a VERY good idea to replace these if u ever have reason to take them out. it's very cheap insurance against the clip breaking and the line chaffing open on the bracket.

usually just place a small screw driver against one of the legs of the clip and tap it out. if the legs are inboard (away from u) then use a pair of pliers to grab and pull on the shoulder of the clip.

lemme know if this helps
