Pics of my Max

Put on the rims yesterday, and I washed it today. Everything besides the rims is pretty much stock. Looking to get a new spoiler next; it lost all of its paint, and it's starting to peel off. Here are some pics

Do any companies make custom mud flaps for the 3rd gen Maxima? I searched google, but all I could find are the universal ones by Power Flow. Has anyone tried these, or can anyone point me to a good looking mud flap?

Those wheels are the OEM 17" 350z rims w/ stock tires. The tires are 225/50 on the front and 235/50 in the back. The wheels stick out a little too far, so all of the little rocks hit the car. I need to find some mud flaps!

Sweet ride man.. Nice and clean.

What are your future plans for her? Oh and about the mud flaps.. I definatly know you can get them from somewhere. Try the dealer, or if not.. Ask what they recommend. Junkyard as well.

Thanks. I'm probably going to change the spoiler next, and then I want to either install fog lights or get a HID kit. I'll probably end up doing both when I get enough money. I want to fix it up without giving it too much rice. I guess I'll have to keep looking around for mud flaps.

Also, where can I get the rubber(?) strip things that run down the sides of the car (on the door)? Mine are beginning to turn yellow, and I would like to replace them.

I have a set of stock mud flaps as well as a set of door trim available. Email me at musicguru@pickensvillemarine.com if you're interested. The driver's front flap is a little bent up, but could be formed back in shape on the car (maybe even use a heat gun or something). The set of door trim is white, but I can't remember how the paint looked - they are in a box in my shop, I'll have to dig them out to check. I may have other parts you need, just ask.

Your not going to do anything for performance in the future?

As far as the side moldings go, I don't think you can buy them. It's not really a replacement part. I searched around a bit, and maybe the below threads can help you. You may not even need to paint it, if the thing in the first link works out for you.

Sweet ride man

Alright this is it... these pics reminds me of my max (poor thing)... I am gonna get another one. As soon as I can afford it + some upgrades.

Thing is if everything goes according to plan I'll be getting a new company car for daily beater, and if so I'll get a max, put it in the garage, disassemble it completely, rebuild everything as a 'project restoration' while applying mods to it as well as toughen it up a bit...

I'll be a reborn max owner again soon!

Thanks for asking, I'm doing great actually. Nothing left but a few scars and a sore neck but it's being taken care of, nothing serious.

But I'm thinking the first mod ever on my next max will be suspension and brakes

Eventually I'd like to take the engine apart completely and reinforce and balance it to get the most out of it, but then again would the tranny hold up? Not sure it's even worth trying...

Oh well, I don't wanna hijack this guys thread, I'll put up a thread about this later on

The tranny would hold up fine. Just get the VE 5 speed and Im sure it would be fine, and If you abused the tranny it'd die just as fast as a stock car (that is unless you build a TQ monster 3.3L VG or something)

Thats great your doing fine and looking for another max. Nice your back Phatsta!

Hey Souled, I could be wrong, but when I read about mudflaps, they are often reffered to as 'splashguards'. Maybe that would help in your search if the others don't pan out for you???

I second the junkyard idea for mudflaps. See if the yard can raise the car up for you, should make it easy enough to pull a good set.

90pearlSE, do you think you can post pics of the mud flaps? And if possible, pictures of the mud flaps on a 3rd gen.

Maybe I'll make a trip to Pick and Pull

SoMarvelus, how much did you get your set for?

I like your car, Souled, mine was white before the orange paint job

Hard work pays off, heres a pic i edited on my computer of my car. The beach and the girl were added in later. Your car is timeless so keep it forever

I'll try to get some pics of them after work today. I have a set on my car, so if you want to see what they look like, just click on my name and look at my car.

The car looks good. I like the rims. There is something about an odd number of spokes that looks better. A good friend of mine has a 5th gen and while I like his car the six spoke rims don't really appeal to me.

Thanks for the comments.

90pearlSE, what brand are they mud flaps? Are they custom for 3rd gens, or are they universal? They look pretty good... They're kinda hard to see on your car with your black rims.

Surprised no one has said anything about my rear plate frame, lol.

Guess what?? I have a set of black leather upholstery from a 90 SE - don't think they had a dark grey option, so I'm assuming I have the color you need. Surprisingly, the driver's seat upholstery is in better condition than the others. The only thing I can remember being wrong w/ the driver's seat is there was a small (like 1-1 1/2") split on one of the cushion seams - it could be repaired easily and was not noticable at all. The passenger seat got a little dried and tough, and the top of the back seat dried up, too. I'd be willing to get rid of the driver's seat upholstery by itself, or make you a good deal on the whole set. Right now I'm getting ready to move, so I need to clear out some of my car parts/goodies. Just email me at musicguru@pickensvillemarine.com or PM me.

I swear I'll get some pictures up as soon as I get a chance!

As far as the side mouldings, I just taped and newspsppered the side of the car and sanded, cleaned and painted mine on the car. Turned out pretty good too.

By the way see the trim at the bottom of the window? Anyone else have this problem?

I'm getting that near my windows too. It's not on the bottom like yours, though. Is it the silver lining along the windows? I'll take pictures of mine after I wash it...

Edit: On my rear window, around the borders the black rubber is peeling off, and it's exposing the silver lining stuff. Is this what's happening to yours, CyMax?

Ok, I finally got a chance to dig out my extra set of mudflaps/splashguards. I took a few pics, which you can see here
http://www.pickensvillemarine.com/el...laps/index.htm

Let me know if you are still interested. I also have the door trim, but haven't taken pics yet.
I have a bunch of other car parts available, which I will post in the 'for sale' section or something. I will try to get together a page of stuff I have, but if there's anything anyone needs, just PM or email me at musicguru@pickensvillemarine.com . I'm getting ready to move and need to get rid of my extra parts/parts cars.

So did Nissan make mud flaps specifically for the 3rd gen maxima? If so, can anyone give me the part number.

90pearlSE, thanks for digging those out for me, but they look a little dinged up. I know they will get like that eventually, but I think I'd rather buy new ones.

Oh yeah, I got a new license plate frame from Courtesy Nissan. It's the matte black one that says Maxima. Looks pretty good. I'm hoping to get one that says Nissan in the same style pretty soon.

Im guessing so, since they seem to fit our cars pretty nicely.
