I hate to say this but, but I had my other max going 155-160 mph. My speedo was a little messed up at the time so I went by my tach (even though the speedo was completely maxed out). My tach read roughly 6200-6300 rpm's in 5th gear. Believe it or not it was still SLOWLY accellerating when I decided to shut it down. This was accomplished at roughly 5500ft of elevation (on a track of course) with my full stereo setup (alot of weight) and a passenger. NO BS. I won't do it again and I sort of regret doing it in the first place but for some reason I just had to do it after I finished modding the car.

Not many stock 90's sport sedans out there that can do that, eh?

Just that speed? There are plenty of 90's sport sedans capable of that. The maxima is just a lot faster at getting there...

Like??? I doubt it's competitors at the time(3 series, Taurus SHO) could go that fast. Definatly not the Accord or Camry. Maybe M5, but that wasn't really meant to be it's competitor. 155 or what ever Terry did is pretty fast. Many 90's sports cars maxed out around there except the Supra.

I have seen a lot of posts about what people can do, but not half as many as what they have done. I'm not saying that you can't do it, but it will take a very long time and posting mundane activities every day will just make this thread an enormous bi*ch to go through for those that actually care about repeating the process.
