Brake Booster Vacuum Hose

I'm field stripping the maxima to repair the VTC's and am coming across vacuum hoses and coolant hoses I didn't even know were there. I noticed that the vacuum hoses from the Power brake booster to the plenum are very hard and wanted to buy new ones. Any idea where I can get these? Are these a dealer only item?

Even though I've never had to replace mine I can't imagine it being a dealer item only, any vacuum hose of similiar size "should" do. It may take some funky routing, but it should work.

if u want one that's molded the same way then yes, it is a dealer only item. if u don't mind straight vacuum hose (one that doesn't have bends and turns molded into it) then u can get it any auto parts store.

just make 1000% certain that it is indeed vacuum hose. vacuum hose should be reinforced somewhat so that it does not collapse on itself under the negative air pressure - thus stalling the engine.

A lot of the hoses you can buy at your local "discounted" parts store and just cut them to length. You will come accross some molded hoses in which it will be hard to bend straight hose to match the molded hose without kinking etc. Those will usually be dealer items. Sometimes I prefer to use the factory molded hose because they fit and look cleaner.
