VTC rebuild question

I'm rebuilding the VTC's on my 92 Max SE and have come across a problem. My next step is to remove the right, front, upper timing chain cover and I can't figure out whether to remove the idler pully for the a/c belt. The manual is no help here since it doesn't show this pulley mounted. The book says just remove the cover bolts and pry it loose, but I can't see two of them and I hate to remove most of the cover bolts and have the pulley tension bend the cover (if it's attached). I can't see it too well even with a mirror since things are so close there.
Has anyone done this and is the pulley in fact attached and do I have to remove this idler pulley to remove the cover. ( I hate to remove more than I need to, since I have to put all of it back afterward, and, more importantly, REMEMBER to put it all back)
Thanks

It's bolted to the front 'side valve cover' with 3 bolts IIRC.

Thanks, I didn't want to bend the cover forcing it when something was attached.
Thanks for the offer. I'm not around then, and I'm trying to do this by myself. But if I start to drownd I'll check back.
