Hi,

My CV boots are cracked and leaking. Should I replace just the boot or will I need to replace more?

Get loaded!

Do what I did for my wifes car. Go to your auto parts store and buy a new or reman. I had trouble getting the corect one in a reman. I bought a new one from A-1 Cardone for $100.00.

if the boot recently cracked then you may be able to reboot it.
if it's been torn for a while and you hear the joint, then you really should replace it.

not trying to jack a thread, but does removing the axle really need the special tool? i had an oldsmobile that also called for a tool but it was nothing a well-timed and powered yank couldn't take care of.

You need 2 tools, a left arm, and possibly a right arm.

Abs

I had the same problem with the wifes car. I bought A-1 Cardone axles and had no problems.
