Changed Gauge Lights...
I ordered a pack of Red 194 LED bulbs (10) and I changed my parking lights and door lights Glove Box and Automatic shifting lights. I had 4 left over so I changed my gauges. Bot there are deffinitly hot spots in the gauges. Any recomendations?
got pics? I just bought the uni-directional ones. Just search for more posts on led SE gauge replacement bulbs, and you'll find a lot of write ups on what led clusters that fit the 194 socket holes that will stop the hot spot effect.
Do the bulbs that you use have an inverted cone top? (making the light spread uni-directional) as kling's suggested? if not, you can try to sand the dome part of the led down a bit, then use a drill bit that has the same diameter as that of the led bulb, then drill, becareful not to hit the crystal in the middle, and you will have created a uni-directional bulb.
