Maxi died today...ideas?
I lurk a lot here, don't post too much but on occasion...and now is one of those occasions
Today, my car decided to die on me. '92 Maxima, 5 speed, VE motor, typical VTC tick that I haven't yet had the time to fix, but otherwise maintained.
Today, started my car, ran for 2-3 minutes while I scraped snow off the windshield, drove up the driveway, made it 2-3 miles from home and the car died, no noises, just cut out completely and I coasted to a stop (was in gear, decelerating, tried to maintain constant speed once I reached 35 and couldn't cause the engine wasn't running anymore)
Now, I have checked, the car has about 1/4 tank of gas, fuel pump turns on when I turn the key to "on", and has descent pressure (sprayed gas all over)
I have spark, from the checker it looked like it was pretty strong too. RPM gauge moves when I crank the engine over.
Putting a noid light in the injector plug gave me no light at all...so...looks like I have no fuel, but I've got to figure out why. I was guessing cam sensor (which looks to have been replaced before, junkyard writing on it) but I figured that would mean no spark either. My boss suggested the computer, but diagnosing that is going to be difficult to impossible without buying another computer - so I'm looking for some guidance here, what (besides the computer) could cause the car to get spark like normal, but not actually fire off the injectors?
