Fogs on the GXE?
#41
I helped a buddy put a set of lights on his '94 GXE where the fogs were supposed to go. They were rectangular floodlamps from KC Hilites that looked just like the stock fogs...but they were 130 Watt each! We ran our own heavy-duty wiring and relays. I always wanted to do the same thing to my '96 but there's no good place to put aftermarket lamps on a 4th gen.

You have to have the lights on for the fogs to work. Also they only work on low beam.
You can rewire them so you can have them on without the lights but I havent looked into that so I cant tell you how but I know its possible.

Well its final...I'm getting the set of PIAA foglamps for $40 as they look same as stock and a shop is making custom brackets and installing "professionally" for 60 bucks so all together its $100...better than getting them $200 each at dealer.
Today or this weekend I'll have fogs and this weekend or next I'll have em installed (cant wait)

Well people, finally got my check on Friday and fixed a computer;leaving me enough money to have the fogs installed professionally and by that I mean having a custom bracket made and have warranty on that. Took some pics looks like they still need to be adjusted or thats simply the headlamps beams getting in the way as my passenger headlight is aimed downward
Well here are some pictures let me know if these PIAAs do look stock to you, tell me what you think. Got cheap Sylvania H3 55watt bulbs since I didnt have much money.

Those look good imo!! Don't quite look stock, but for those who aren't Max owners/enthusiasts, no one will know
Good job and congrats on the score! I myself am looking for some stock fogs to add to my GXE - just need the relay, brackets, & lens's. Can't wait!

Thanks Black91Gxe, good luck finding stock ones...there was a pair of used one on ebay for 60 bucks and they went fast!! I paid 40 for mine brand new. but your best bet is to go aftermarket that looks stock unless you feel like paying 400 bucks for a pair at Nissan just get the relay out of a junk yard or actually go to a parts store and pay 5-8 bucks for one, if you dont have the switch you'll need one too.
All that is left to do is...go to craigbraces write ups and set them so I dont need headlamps on all the time. Also need a stock SE spoiler.

I put aftermarket foglights on that are projecters with halos. they use H7 bulbs. I put in a green pair of eurodezign bulbs cause my friend blew his and i used his lifetime war. they actually work very well. and I pit 180 watt 9007's for my headlights. (conversion) so far its daytime infront of my car. with a tint of green
