Window Problem

Well a few days ago I noticed that my left rear window was dropping. To temp fix this I duct taped the inside of the window. When I tool off the door pannel I found little peices of white plastic in the door. The motor does run but the window does not move. What is broken?

Thanks for any help

true true regulator has broken on the window preventing it from staying up or going down by your control. Get new regulator for window not a long job to replace
