Blue lights are ILLEGAL on a vehicle period.
Blue lights are for Police vehicle use.
If you get pulled over by a savvy cop he'll write you up for impersonating a police officer, the charge may not stick but you'll still get hauled into jail

I don't even use any corner bulbs. No corner lights matched the headlights so I just took them out

OK let me clear all this up. I am actually in the police acadamy for the state of CT and We are considered strict here.

1) Smoked/clear lenses. LEGAL in CT (Illegal in Vermont Mass and NH) aslong as the light shines through.
2) Side Light Colors. Any colors that are normally found on a car are LEGAL aslong as they are BEHIND the headlights. On 3rd generation Maximas its not a problem. It Is always best to match the lights to your headlight color though. I have RED Cornor lights and RED Parking Lights. Red Halo lights around Fog Lights. To make this more of a matching set I put 2 led's in the Headlight Housing to light up the headlight itself.
3) Underglow. Front HAS to be white/yellow/orange Sides HAVE to be orange/yellow/red Rear HAS to be RED. Same law that applies to tractor trailer trucks. Which is in ALL states. My underglow sides are orange and they blink with my blinkers. my rear is red and turns on with my break light. and i didnt put on in the front. Some states like PA all colors are legal. If you have any other colors you can only use them in parking lots (most states)

Any other questions feel free to ask.

Same here I did that with my old car...amber bulb in the small triangle lamp and none in the big part of the corners.

supposed to be illegal...for "show" use only (to clear the manufacturer's liability); matters if your local police are in a good or bad mood in all actuality, though.

i wouldnt gamble on it, though.

Ok heres the deal. I talked to my Boss (cheif of Police Hartford CT) and in CT and NY there are NO laws banning underglow what so ever. BUT they do attract cops. the lights need to be behind your headlights and infront of your tail lights. He said police won't pull you over for having blue cornor lights. Accept the few JERK police officers. If they issue you a ticket you can bring it to court and get it thrown out very easily. Also clear cornors are illegal in NJ but smoked are legal. to find EXACT laws for NJ. Call your local Police station up. it takes 5 minutes and will only help. I am becoming a police officer right now in CT. you'd be suprised on how many things are legal but police will find a way to pull you over. Lights are just suspicous about them. the color wont get you in trouble its the other stuff they find in you car after they pull you over.
p.s. think about it. I have a 12,000k H.i.d. system. its extremely bright and purple and its legal. and purple is not a normal color found on a car.

Any other questions please ask. I can talk to my Boss and try to help.

ok, red blue lights, on corner lights, or fog lights, are rice. please dont.....
having red or blue leds, or small bulbs, will get you a ticket..
Smoking them dark enough will but, if light shines through during direct sunlight, then you are ok. and they must shine at night too.

Use common sense really. Just get some hyper white not blue, hyper white bulbs for your corner lights, and some h1 JDM lellow bulbs for your OEM fog lights, and some oem bulbs for your headlights.
Keep it clean guys. lol

well you must either be a moderator that has lost his 1st log in name? or a true nube that has made is very first post? when i say blue they are hyperwhite not painted blue bulbs so they do give a white, but blueish off color. As far as it being considered "RICE" ing well, that would go hand in hand as saying opinions are like A_ _ holes everyone has one! To each his own put what you want on ya car! The postings in here are to get some clarity on what is legit and not, based upon your location! And that was what heresmymind was explaining.
