Getting my new max tomorrow (Sunday

Previous Maxima owner (2nd gen 86 SE 5 spd). I've already paid for a 92 Pearl Maxi SE 5 SPD..Has all the basic Maxima standard features..power sunroof, p/s, p/w, p/dl, Bose..blah blah blah

Since being a member of the forums since Oct 2001 I've come to learn that Maxima owners are a cut above the rest. We respect each other and have a "bond" per-say.

I'd like to say hello and that I am back in the forums!

BTW, anyone have 2 front tan leather power seats or a speedo available for sale? =/

I was just driving along and the transmission started slipping like crazy then came the smell of something burning. now the car wont go anywhere and I'm pretty sure I'll need a new transmission. I just picked up the car yesterday and owned it for a whole oneand a half hour. Automatic climate control was optional on the GXE and I think it was standard on canadian GXEs.

That's for a pre-92 SE. There should be someone here with a 145 mph VE speedo. Just keep poking around the for sale/wanted section. The seats might be a bit more difficult to come by.

Just be sure to spend some time digging through the stickies. There is a lot of good information in there a lot of guys just skip over.

If you haven't done so, I would recommend changing your oil and using the Toyota filter noted in the stickies to help prolong the life of the VTCs in your VE.

ACC was an option on US GXEs (not SE) but standard on all Canadian I believe.

Some of us have done the ACC conversoin on our car (I worked with Craig to do the write up although he did pretty much all the work...he's the man) I did it once on my 93SE with the help of Craig and then moved that over to my old 92SE I had. I will be doing it again on my current 93SE along with another HUD installation.

Go to Craigs how to site for info on how to do the conversion.

Awesome, i'll have to hit the junkyards to see if i can find the auto climate control here lol..not too many junk yards in CT, but there is a great one down the street from me who orders all over the country for relatively cheap.
