e36 headlights

for those of you with e36 headlights in your car, how did you custom fab brackets to mount the headlights to the car, did you take the stock headlights out of the black thing and mount them in there?

did you read the write up. it talks about using the factory brackets but I know a few have actually used the factory BMW brackets and fabbed them to work.

you wont have to destroy the stock bracket to get stock headlight out. You need to just turn the adjustment screws all the way out and then you can remove them completely

There's a write up out there with pics what needs to be trimmed and how to brace it. I don't wanna search for all this again.

That's one mod that I want to do for my car but I want to know where can I get those UK smoked corners and do they sell any tail light conversions for the 3rd Gen model? I've seen some with some skyline type tail light covers and I don't know where to get them. Have any ideas?

The UK corners are hard to find because there were not that many 3rd gens over there. I can tint clear corners to look really close though. I take actual automotive clear and mix some paint in with it to make it smoked. I charge $40 including shipping back to you to do this but you have to supply the clears or pay me up front for clears I can buy and tint.

There are no tail light conversions for our car other than putting different year tails on the car.

I have some Skyline tails I want to sell but you have to do body work to make them work. They are not a conversion but actual R33 tails. I want $150 for them.

btw you left a message in my cardomain guest book...I am responding here.

edit: I just looked and saw you are in Jackson...good to see another member in MS. If you need an auto trans for your car I have one for sale for a great price including axles .
