AC and RPMs
Alright everyone, I'm having a problem with my idle.
When ever I start the car (I'm still having starting problems)
it immediately idle rough and stalls out seconds later.
I usually start it again and it stays running. Now when im driving
with the AC off the car idles at about 700-800. As soon as
I turn on the AC, the rpm drops to about 300-500 and sometimes
the car even shuts of when I stop at red lights.
With most problems I have an idea of what it could be,
but this problem is definitely kicking my butt.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Defanitly clean it with Carb Cleaner. That has helped me with idleing problems before around the same. But a word of advice, while your there, get a wash cloth, and some carb cleaner and maybe a HARD bristle tooth brush or scrubber, and clean out the throttle body, and also open it up by hand and clean as far back in there as you can. and wipe it clean. that helps too. if you have time id take the throttle body off completely and thouragly clean it with carb cleaner and also teh intake manifold inlets will make a difference trust me! carb cleaner is a good friend! also ask your napa auto parts dealer about sea-foam. Sea-foam does wonders as well!

but the idle drops 400 rpm when i turn on the AC. does the AC really affect the throttle body?
