Pacesetter STS update on Heat problems
just got a update from a fellow org member, in regards to the problem some of us have had with sluggish pacesetter STS. he said to use low/high temp white lithium grease instead of the normal bearing grease, due to the size of our cats and the heat that is produced. the OEM i thought used the same pivot ball as our pacesetters but that is not true different composition. So, the OEM shifter's pivot ball doesn't experience that sluggish feel after driving for a while. So by using the lithium packing grease( the grease should be able to be used for both cold/hot temp applications) will resolve the sluggish feel. will do this this weekend will let you know!! hopefully a resolution. Since pacesetter has never heard of the problem before!!!

Well, finally got around to greasing up the pivot ball on the STS pacesetter!! NO GOOD!!! still sluggish after the cat heats up!!! Looks that urethane ball is expanding due to the heat from the cat! So, for those out there with the same problem, i have yet figured on what else to do other that to have a steel pivot ball like the B&M or Stillen

I think i remember after I installed mine it took a while to break in. Also, rememeber that the further down you adjust it the harder it is to shift. You might try washers like others suggested. I added them in to see if it loosened it up. I makes a little difference. Don't torque down the bolts too much either
