Sounds like my driver side light fixture about 2 months ago. It will get worse... You will finally pull the wiring harness off your bulb to find the wiring harness is melting, and in about two months, no amount of jiggling will get it to work. You know why? your headlight bulbs are to high a wattage and they are frying your harness. I just went to Nissan and picked up a new wiring harness for ten bucks today and after a little soddering, it works as good as new again.

The superwhites you are running, I bet they are to high wattage and it is killing your wiring harness. That is what happenned to me and your symptoms are the exact same as mine when it began.

ive had these hyperwhites on for like a year now and the problem has just been occuring recently. the bulbs are made by MATRIX and are 9004 80watts/100 or 110 high beam.

That's the problem...the bulbs ar 80/100.
The harness is only designed to handle 55watts.
Go to Auto Zone or any other car parts store and buy a wire harness for $2.95 and just "splice and dice" into the factory wiring..when doing this make sure to note where each wire is. Eventhough the aftermarket harness has all black wire it is important which wire is where.

its not always the problem! i'm running stock wattage hyper whites and i'm having the same problem. i was having this problem even with the stock bulbs. most of the time only one light will come on, sometimes both come on, sometimes neither comes on. then while driving they'll just turn on and off by themselves. and to top it all off my brights dont work. i've had this problem for a while now and it's really ****ing me off. the harnesses arent melting or anything! i cant find the problem.

Well..your problem is different but the thing the guy is talking about is definitley the harness. Have you thought about checking your relay...maybe that's the problem.
