Okay to use e36 headlight with broken tabs?

So I was about ready to buy e36 lights until the guy took them out from his bimmer and broke the tabs. Just wondering if I can still use them? These are the tabs on the sides that the corner lights attach to I think.

Here's the message and will be followed with pics hoipefully.
"Well I went to take them out today, and it doesn't look like I'm going to be
able to sell them. I ended up busting two of the tabs on the sides, and I
had to screw my corners on just to get them to stay on now. I've got my DJ
autos I can put in, but I'm going to just go ahead and wait to put them on
when my angel eyes get here, which will be next week sometime. I'm sorry
about that, but I'm going to just have to hold on to them until I can get my
new ones in and then I could sell them if you wanted them with the broken
tabs."

Do you guys think it's still usable?

Usable, I didn't use the side tabs, only the top and bottom.
