sick of clutches

ok This is starting to irritate me. I go through clutch discs like water. I break the springs on em like nothing. I drive hard but I do not dump the clutch neither do i power shift. act discs lasted 1 yr and two generic brand discs lasted 1 yr and the other 1 month and finally my centerforce stageII lasted me since dec until about 2hrs ago. what luck have u guys got with your clutches. the disc is a cheap and easy fix just getting tired of doing it

I had my ACT street clutch kit w/ the Fidanza for many, many thousands of miles. And it's still going strong with it's new owner. Buy quality once and save in the long run.

ive only heard of cheap discs doing that ive seen it twice only once on a max

buy an OEM disc or a name brand aftermarket disc and you should be fine

I think I have the same disc Jeff had (still in the .org community) and I haven't had these problems.

I have easily made 50+ passes at the drag strip with it, too. In fact, I tore up the transmission (input shaft bearings) faster than the clutch

is it being installed properly? i've heard of people putting the clutch disc itself in backwards and ruining them pretty quick. that would definitely do it as the springs rub on the flywheel bolts in most cases. however, since the discs are lasting a year that seems like that's not the problem, never know though.
