climate control question

on the climate control on a 93 max the lever on the left hand side that on the top shows blue air flow then the bottom setting is just a seat or something what does this do i dont have a owners manual but if someone could fill me in that would be great. thanks

hi

the blue is fresh air and the other is recirculate.

Actually, the low side of the switch is not recirculate, but rather just cuts off the fresh air. If you want to recirculate, there is a separate button for that.

The low side of the switch passes the air through the heater core, while the top side bypasses this and allows outside fresh directly.

Bryan did you clean your coolant temperature sensor? Is that located where the other end of the upper radiator hose meets.

Yes, I cleaned it in the 92 SE. It was corroded. I don't have the car here now, so I can't recall the hose you mention, but I think you're correct. It's left and low of the throttle body with a red connector. It took me a few minutes to play with the metal clip in order to get it out.

Red and Yellow connector? I checked mine and it had no corrosion whatsoever.

Maybe I am looking at the wrong thing.
