Maxima Gauges

I want to put some reverse glow gauges in my 92 Maxima, how hard is it to do? And where do I even start? I see the two screws on the dash board but is that all I have to unscrew?

It sounds a lot more complicated than it really is. The first thing to do is pop the trim ring around your gear shift, then take out the four screws holding in the trim around the stereo (two right above the stereo and two ashtray level). Next up is take off the trim panel holding in the cruise control and related switches (another four screws, two on each side of the steering wheel). Then you remove the black trim around the gauges, which has screws running across the top of it (another 4 I think). Once you get that out, there are four more screws holding the cluster (two top/two bottom), and then unplug all the connections from the back and pull that out. Then all you have to do is pop the lens on the cluster and install your new faces and "reassemble" everything...someone else could prolly give better instructions than these, but that's how I understand it.

IF you have a 92 se, you already have "reverse glow" gauges

the gauges are easy to get to. just a lot of bolts that needs to be removed.

check out www.geocities.com/craigbrace

there should be a write up (fixing the clock) with pics in the how-to section.

I got a set of reverse glow gauges on ebay and really it seemed like applying them in the casing took longer than taking everything apart. In the dark with only a flashlight took about 45 minutes to complete the job. So like everyone is saying, it really seems longer and harder than it really is.

You could also try here http://importintelligence.com/FMPro?...stnew.htm&-new I believe this is the company that I got my gauges from on ebay. But don't hold me to that one.
