Hello everyone, new to the forums here.

I've got an '89 Maxima GXE with 220,880 Miles. Pearl White with the dark brown interior, Bose, moonroof, auto tranny.

It's got a crapload of problems however. The steering system is having major problems; I'd like to start a thread about it tisk, but right now I can't.

Anyways, I'm damn suprised to see 3rd gens go up to nearly 300k miles - I thought 220K was a rarity.

Anyways, like the site, hope to post more.

 

92 GXE 189,000. Original engine and tranny. A/C still blows cold!

 

just about 198k now. need a damn oil change.....dont trust that 7500 mile ****

 

Got mine in Fall of 2003 with 108k on it and now in 2006 has 129k on it Still runs great. (after lots of repairs)

 

and this thread keeps going and going and going and going and ...

well thats what the OP racked up with me, i got it with 120k on the clock

 

1993 Maxima SE. I got it in March of this year and it had 184,000. Now as it stands I have almost 191,000. I am doing my oil change every 2,000 miles for the first 3 times. I used Lucus oil the first time and just had a shop do it the second. I really want to keep this car for a while. Instead of buying and leasing and finacing cars all my life and never PMR (Pimp My Ride) I just want to make this car the truth. Comfortablity is my key right now. I have to get shocks and stuts done but other than that do anyone have any advice or tips I should do with my car. Also I have a aftermarket Intake, and new exhaust. I just want some tips thats all.

 

if you want to stay comfortable, don't change the wheel size

Had a 2006 Max until recently. Put 232,000 on it. Still started up with no coughs, and ran hard - the undercarriage was starting to go, though, so I moved up. 2003 SE now in driveway.

i got 250,000 miles. just bought it for 2,500 interior like new. just had a top engine overhaul. what you think?
