take apart intake track.
spray some electric parts cleaner through the MAF screen onto the sensor.
radio shack has it i know.

people often are cleaning their intake mani- or plenum w/carb cleaner, and htink 'hey i should do my MAF too!'
NO! do not spray any sort of corrosive chemical on the MAF.
electric parts cleaner is maade for this.
word

How about Lectra-Motive spray?
I know it's an electric parts cleaner, but isn't it corrosive at the same time?

I got it from Auto Zone, it can be used for Alternators, Starters, etc. But I'm not sure about the MAF.

Napa carries MAF cleaner. It's designed by the makers of Brakleen.

CRC makes electronics cleaner and MAF cleaner. I think they're the same. I've seen it at Autozone and Pepboys.

I be wanting to clean my MAF now that ive got a can of CRC's MAF cleaner sitting beside me, but wouldnt have the faintest idea on how to GET to the MAF sensor on the VG30E.. All i know is that it has something to do with the raised square section of the intake pipe, just past the air filter box...

but err, how to get in there to spray this stuff on it? Thanks a bunch.

assuming you have the air box...

unclip the 4 clips that keep the airbox closed (As if you were going to change a filter) and pull the top part of the airbox up to where you can see inside the intake tube. You'll see some mesh/ grid looking material and the MAF is directly behind that. Spray the living daylights out of it with your cleaner. Let it dry, and start it up (May take a second) After that, you should be good...

When I did my little high(er -than average at certain RPM's) flow intake I took this pic, it's off the actual tube assembly itself, but you can see the gold looking MAF in there...
