Now my distributer is clicking. Assuming that would be effecting my timing making my shifts a little bumpy after it gets warmed up.

 

When do you hear it clicking, right at start-up? while idle at a light?

 

while its idle sitting still it clicks. when i accelerate the clicking gets a little louder but faster. Bu ti deff. know its coming from the distributer.

 

check/change spark plugs and wires first.

 

does it run like **** as of right now? if so, check all your plugs to the spark plugs, and to the distributor cap.

 

pull the distibutor (after marking where the rotor is pointing) and see if the dizzy makes noise when you turn it by hand

 

its weird i just did injecters and my car ran alot smoother. but after about 5 minuets of running the idle drops about 400 rpms. it's a little ruff when i accelerate those 400 rpms. and then its fine. also it shifts smoothly when first ran but after i let it warm up it bumos gears. i'll do all spark plugs and distributer this weekend. hopefully it will solve issues?

 

You have checked the cap and rotor to see if they are hitting each other?

 

I replaced the head on mine a few weeks ago (timing belt slid right off and pistons ruined the values) and after that I have had this odd problem that sounds like yours. I guess I should go check the distributor. Mine drives smooth till it warms up and then suddenly the temp goes up and gear shifting is with a clunk.
