Throttle Sensor, Switch Adjustment

There is a TSB for other Maximas for Adjusting the throttle postition sensor (henceforth known as TPS). I can't find a procedure in the factory service manual (henceforth known as FSM) for our cars, the 92 SE Maxima. I'm having a problem with hesitation pulling away from a dead stop and think that Nissan put those slots in the TPS for a reason. The TSB covers later Maximas ( and about every other Nissan) from 1995 on and calls out for a .12 and .16 mm feeler gauge to be put under the throttle stop, to adjust the TPS for the throttle just opening.
Anybody know the procedure and gauge sizes for our car? Or have they found it in the FSM somewhere that I couldn't find? (someone should invent a feature for the FSM whereby you could look up things you wanted to find in it, say at the back).

Auto Zone TPS Adjustment Procedure

I tried this procedure and it doesn't work. This procedure calls for backprobing the throttle position sensor harness connector, which is the grey one under the unit, and there's no way to back probe it. The connector is sealed at the back and you can't get a probe in unless you damage it.
The procedure isn't clear, I wonder if they meant to back probe the Throttle SWITCH? The Throttle switch has a rubber boot on the back, like the MAF, that's possible to roll back and back probe connectors. I hate to just start wanking around on this thing without knowing the proper settings and screw it all up.
Has anyone every adjusted the TPS and Switch?

I have an extra one or three throttle position sensors I could sell pretty cheap if you want to try and swap in a different one. Send me a PM if you are interested.

New TPS

The problem is that the TPS that I have is good, I just want to find a procedure for ADJUSTING it. The unit has obvious slots around the screws for adjusting it, I just can't find a doable procedure for setting it. If I got a new TPS, I'd still have to adjust it properly. I can't figure out why the service manual doesn't have a procedure for this.

if your car is an A/T then part of the TPSs function is to control shifting if not then I believe it helps choose the fuel map to use

with the ignition on, engine not running, put your positive probe of your meter in the wire in the center of the gray connector under the tps with negative probe on ground.tps voltage should be 0.4 volts when the tps is close, and around 4 volts with tps wot.

This is the 5sp. The difficulty I had was back probing the center wire on the grey sensor connector. I couldn't get a connection. Perhaps I'll get some spade lug connectors and make some jumper wires so I can get inside this connector while it's connected.
Thanks for all of the advice.
