Depends which one you buy......

the drop-in filter might help the MPG a little but will not give you any noticable performance gains. I believe the cone style filter will yeild better MPG and will definently yeild better perfoemance and sounds nice when you floor it!

Cone filter is best unless you can hold off and buy a CAI.

panel filter = yuck

Don't bother with the panel filter. Go for the cone or CAI.

Brent.

yeah, there's a few, warpspeed makes one i know, i was gonna buy one, but i made a pop charger instead. take 25 bucks to pep boys, buy an apc cone filter (or you can order a K&N cone out of jegs or summit) take all your intake box off, then take the brass insert inside your intake box, straighten out the flare, and pop the filter on. then all you do is bolt the brass insert back to your maf tube with the original bolts and everything. looks 100% professional and takes about 30 minutes at the most.

there's prolly a few ponies you unleash with it i went from a 15.5 to a 15.2 with only the intake mod. and i ran the 15.5 without an air filter. the throttle response seems better, and my top end smoothed out. also the sound is sooooooooooooo nice. at WOT it growls at you. i love it! an apc filter at pep boys is 25 bucks, they might be a little small for some tastes, they're like 6" or so. Typical for the end of a short ram. You can order K&N cones in different styles out of jegs or summit for 40-50 bucks. defenitely worth it too! JWT charges ya over 100 bucks for this intake, and they aren't a genuine K&N filters on the end.

just a k&n filter is kinda a waste. it's too expensive for what it does. i got one and i don't notice any power gain. my gas mileage is a little better, but not that noticeable. a cai is really expensive. just go for a cone filter and adapter. i have a pop charger arriving tomorrow. that k&n was a waste!
