digital dash

i have the opportunity to get a digi dash with hud for a low price. unlike most of you guys i PREFER the digi dash look
(guess I watched too much knghtrider) anyway I wanted to kno would it be compatible with my ve5. I kno it only came from the factory on vg autos. anybody with any helpful input can you help me please before i buy this. thanx

I don't see why it wouldn't work - although you might wanna ask Craig (Brace), since he's probably a bit more familiar with some of those systems.

it definitely wont plug right in

check my page for how-to on teh HUD. I didn't do the whole dash, but it's only about 5-10 more wires to get that working (temp, gas, etc). There was someone else who did the whole thing in his SE. If you search on here, I'm sure you can find his thread.

Even in a GXE, it's not prewired so it's a lot of work.

Does anyone have a pic of the digi dash? I've never seen an actual one aside from the little drawing in my owners manual.

I'm gonna do it but i dont really have that much experience with wiring all i've really done with that is audio stuff. ive never done any solderin but will be practicin some so that i can do this. dont look to me for advice ask craig b or michael hudnell they are the experts

nope, not going to Maxus, way too far from VA
