a lot of times the sensors for the brake (and clutch if 5spd) aren't adjusted correctly so it wont let you engage it properly
There are two separate switches on each pedal so make sure they're adjusted correctly.

It's a 5 speed. I'll check the sensors on the clutch pedal. I thought there was a light on the dash that cmae on when you turned the cruise control on. Thats not coming on either. Thanks for the advice. Wayne

When I bought my car, the cruise didn't work.
I looked at the system and just decided to replace the assembly under the hood (IIRC, $10 at a junk yard).
this thing here, with all the wires and stuff connected:
Disconnected the battery, swapped in the new piece, cruise works.
Otherwise, try the fuse and relay for the cruise.

Well for all you guys who say there horn and Cruise don't work then your steering wheel clock spring is sticking so your steering wheel is not getting power sometimes or all the time...
I had the dealer pull the wheel off and unstick the spring and both have worked perfect ever since!!!!
