Replacing Power Window Module

My rear power window has stopped working. Looks like the cable has come off the roller and gotten jammed. Does anyone know if this is reparable or do I need a new module. Also, can I get a motor/pully assembly from the junk yard or do I need buy a new one and how difficult is it to install. Any help would be appreciated. Wayne

You need to get a window regulator from http://www.internetautomart.com/
ebay has them also...
A used one will most likely fail within a short period of time...
The install is pretty easy...Take off door panel remove bolts from regulator/window assembly/unplug wire harness/wiggle it out of there...

The site says they have a window regulator and a regulator with motor. Is the regualtor the pully/cable part that attaches to the window?

Yup...The regulator is the pulley cable system...I would also recommend replacing the motor too...

Yeah while you're in the door might as well replace the motor and be done with it until 2010.

It is really pretty easy, a one hour job in your driveway at the most. Less if you ever do another one.

I have my replaced in 2 hours. There is a write up proceddure some where in thi sfoorum. I opt to reuse the motor for two resons: First, it is easy to get open it up and replace the motor later if it gone bad. Secondly, since my is the read window and I figure I only use it 2 times per year max.

CAn you point me to the repair procedure

Hi..

I have the same problem..rear door window doesn't work..took off the door panel and the cable is broken and wrapped around everything!

So, I need a new regulator mechanism.

Prior posts here say it is easy to replace..my take was it looked really cramped!

Anyway, I'd like to read the repair procedure..can someone help me find it or point me to it??

Thanks,

4 bolts on the reg, 3 on the motor and it slides up a bit, then down and out the hole.
BTW I sell window regulators

Thanks

Thanks for the link.

As I thought, it will take some patience to work inside the rear door!

This will be a Summer day job..when I have lots of time to kill...

Regards,

BTW..for the parts-guy who sells regulators..are they OEM? At what price?
Send me a PM..Thanks

I got my regulator from the link at the top of this topic. For some reason the passenger rear regulator is more $50 + $9 shipping. Wayne

They are aftermarket, and I've personally used them on my old car. No problems from them at all.
