hmmm...idea....ricey of course....

So i was sittin here and had an idea. I want a new steering wheel but i don't wanna lose my cruise control.....so....my idea is, is it possible to relocate the cruise control to somewhere else, like cut a hole someone where and put those switches there so i can have a different steering wheel? i didn't know if it'd screw up the cruise control or not

You could relocate the cruise control. If you are really handy, you might be able to find a way to rig up the buttons like on an airbag steering wheel.

I wanted a new steering wheel, so I just found an s13 one with the cruise buttons. Much easier than screwing around with some aftermarket one.

(sorry for the old pic, my host site is down)

thats a good idea too, unfortunantly the steering wheel i want only has a horn and thats it, lol so i was gonna try and mount it elsewhere, like.....i dunno just somewhere close by so its not an inconveinience

messing with air bag steering wheels.. they hard?... i mean the book sounds like its going to EXPLODE on you at anytime but... insurance payments are lower if you have airbags... do they have to know? if you dont have one anymore?... i mean how can they find out unless you get into a crash?... meh! idk

well the upside for me wanting to do this is i don't have an airbag so i don't have to worry about it going off on me, and i don't suggest you try to scam on your insurance

i guess my biggest question is, if i moved it would it mess it up, like is there a cable that has to be a certain length to work, or is it just a few wires that won't hurt to be moved??

the switches on the wheel are electric so you can relocate them on the dash fairly easily.
