The way it looks, it might put the speaker too deep into the door, so that the window hits its. Most of the wooden ones that I have seen (including James92SEs) have an additional spacer.

If it clears that stuff, looks like a good find. Please update once you guys put them to use.

That will vary by the speaker depth.
the infiniti reference 6012i (I think that's what I put in)
will clear just fine, though it may cause premature regulator death

oh and whomever gets them, scan them in on some graph paper so the cheapskates have a template to make their own .
The guy is actually reasonable on shipping though

i thought so if worse comes to worse I'm not out that much $$ and if they didn't work right I'm sure i could find another use for them... what don't know I'd have to give it some thought but I'm sure i could figure something out

Even if they dont give the depth to clear the window you have a good cheap template to just add few MM with mdf. so either way i think they're a decent purchase.

I just mounted mine 5 1/4 speakers to the stock bose boxes. I'm sure they sound just as good as 6 1/2 speakers

There is a very big difference between the sound of a 5.25 and a 6.5 for the most part.

I used the stock clarion mounts (canada yay) modified them to hold a 3/4" piece of MDF more towards the driver/passenger. The mdf is FG to the stock mounts and the mounts are resined/dampenend. They are then selaed to the doors with silicone. They hold 6.5"

For what it's worth, here is some pictures I took when I made my own brackets out of .... fibreboard ?. I'm being honest when I tell you, I am extremely happy with the results. The sound I get from the pioneer 5-1/4 speakers in front is way better than expected. Maybe it is because I blocked most of the sound from the door. Total cost < $5 @ Home Depot.
Webpage here with same pics here

I think I have the template around somewhere. If I find it. I'll post it if anyones interested.

If James is still making them I'd buy them from him. They cost a little more but are much thicker and made of wood (better acoustics).

A little bit of time and patience and you can complete them yourself. Easy to make. Here is a shot of one I made:

If you're feeling lazy, just buy from James92SE(think that's him). His look good.

Probably true but since i run my Mids off a Amp to reduce the bass I don't think they shouldn't sound too bad. We'll see when i put them in. Not too sure when that will be but Oh well 1 step at a time

I dont want to be a *****, but I hope you either mistyped or linked to the wrong picture, because that picture of the mount you made is none other than the picture of my own mounts on my car that I e-mailed you.

I don't think you're being a ***** at all. I give you credit(and have in the past a few times) for the work you do. Here is the link for the thread I posted when I completed my project. You even replied, I believe. When I get home today, I'll look through my pics and see if yours is mixed with it. If so, I'll edit the link.

Attention everyone. Patent infringement noted and corrected. Link connects to my speaker brackets. Note: Mine has a deeper pod and looks cheap. James92SE speaker brackets look clean.

Slate cleaned.
