So in the last checks on my new control arms I noticed play in the pass side sway bar to control arm mount. When I twisted it slightly it snapped like a twig, suppose it was better to happen now. However, I need to move the car (used friends garage) a short distance before I can fix this - if i take it real easy on the drive should it be okay?

 

do you mean sway bar link?or balljoint?

found a place in denver that stockes em, should have it done tonight

 

its ok to drive it with the link broken/disconnected. take it easy on the high g-force turns as the sway bay won't do anything for you. you may hear a knocking or maybe clanking sound when going over bumps as the end of the sway bar hits the lca.

I figured grandma style driving wouldn't hurt for a short spell but it never hurts to ask

 

Yeah...just take it easy. Dove back from houston to austin with a broken link before. No problems at all.
