New MAF

Hi.
Today im replacing my MAF,
am wondering where the green wire goes??
my old maf has 5 male pins (ABCDE) and my old wiring harness has 4 female connectors (the black and white wires) PIN A was not connected to anything...

now i have the new MAF it has 4 male pins (BCDE) and the wiring harness has 5 female connectors (an extra green one)
cant see a green wire in my original wiring.

Why is this?? anyone have a clue?? What do i do?

Anyway,
i replaced it without the green wire since it wasn't on the old one anyway.
The reason i've replaced it because a mech told me it was faulty which was causing the idle rpms to be very high and fluctuate/bounce when cold. Anyway my new MAF didn't fix the problem!
Has anyone had this prob before or know how to fix it?
also if anyone know what that green/orange wire is for that would be great.
Thanks.

Clean your Idle air control valve to start and check tour coolant temperature sensor for corrosion
