tach

anybody know where the main signal wire for the tach is located or the signal from the engine to the computer

my tach has a short or somthing because somtimes it will work great and other times it will not work at all

so all help is appreciated

It is probably the tach itself that is bad...Not the wiring..

I just hate trying to trace a wiring fault issue unless i ABSOLUTELY have to...

Swapping out the gauge cluster with a used one would be cheap and would confirm a wiring fault...

If you buy one in vain,you could always sell it in the classifieds to make your $$ back on it...

I recently put se dials.Then my tach went nutts. Switch the faces from my old tach .Put it back on . No problem now.
