Back on the road

Thanks to vansskaterfreak and my mechanic buddy down the street, my old girl is back on the road!

Is there any way to document the mileage at the engine swap if I sell later?
Course there's no real accurate way to document the mileage on the engine that was put in, it was estimated around 120k.

Any ideas?

Not really a way to document it.

I suppose if you really wanted to you could take a picture of the engine in the car, with the VIN number and a newspaper with the date, then with the mileage. Then do it with the new engine. Still doesn't really mean squat.

People generally take your word for it. If you are trying to provide proof it is a new engine then that's simple, just have the buyer check the serial number on the block to the car. Mileage will be your word, but they shouldn't have any reason not to trust you anyway

just reread the post, basically IMHO the best way to document the mileage at the time of the swap is just to do what you did, take pictures.
