question is WHY?

with the speedo lit it will wash away the tick marks on the gauges in the day light.

dashes on the lexus are pitch black/dark until they are lit. the lights actually light up the marks.

I'm gonna agree on DanNY with this, when it rains and it's still light out (and I turn on lights/wipers) it does make the cluster a bit washed out...but anyways here ya go:

can i use the analogic gauges like the pic for my car? It is a 1989 maxima with broken digital instrument cluster. I want to replace it because there is only one on sale for 275$. I think it is too expensive to use digital one still. Thanks for answering.
